Skills & content. Any skills, descriptions, or markdown files you publish on SkillsMD Pro are stored on our servers.

Usage data. We collect anonymized analytics (page views, feature usage) via Google Analytics to improve the service.

Log data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) are retained for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Display your public profile and published skills in the directory.
  • Authenticate your identity and prevent abuse.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., account changes, moderation updates).
  • Improve and maintain the service.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers — hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and analytics (Google) providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
  • Safety — to protect the rights, property, or safety of SkillsMD Pro, our users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
